The role will include duties such as:

  • inspection of machine components and assemblies
  • inspection of fabricated and welded assemblies
  • Using visual inspection equipoment such as verniers and calipers
  • Usine complex measuring equipment including cmm and faro arm

The apprentice will be learning how to inspect materials and components both in pre-production and inspecting completed components.

The role which involves using the above manual measuring and inspection equipment and using state of the art equipment is critical to maintaining the high level of quality products expected internally by the Responsive Group and customers. This is an exciting opportunity which will enable the apprentice to learn a real discipline in a growing and exciting company.

The apprentice will shadow a skilled worker and be involved in day to day activities.

Desired qualifications

The candidate must have at least 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade C or grade 4 or above including Maths & English Language.

Please note that Level 2 Adult Literacy and Level 2 Adult Numeracy will not be accepted.  This is due to the awarding body certification requirements.
