Practical Services are looking to add to their staff compliment in recruiting a Horticulture Gardening Apprentice to learn and gain skills in:

  • Soil care/assessment and treatment
  • Weeding and planting at appropriate time
  • Gaining skills in use of all tools and equipment
  • Mowing of grass, strimming verges, cuttings removal
  • Hedge trimming and shaping
  • Pruning and plant care
  • Weed-killing (pesticide spray)

Things to consider

This opportunity is open to all ages 16 years and over. 

You will be required to complete an initial assessment and diagnostic in maths and English.

You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers, hot and cold, carrying out physical tasks using the relevant tools and equipment
