    You will be expected to work in shifts around the salon's opening hours, Monday - Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm. There is also the possibility of a later evening on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday when we are open until 7:30 pm (TBC).

We're looking for the next future professional to support our hairdressing team. 

You will begin with supporting the salon in:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety

In addition, you will be expected to:

  • Greet clients
  • Answer the phone and take bookings

You will assist with shampooing clients and, as your learning progresses, will have the opportunity to work on models and paying clients while building up your own client base and portfolio. Being part of the team, you will have opportunities to shadow and practice your technique and become a confident hairdresser.

Once qualified , you can become employed as a stylist. From there, you can advance with the Level 3 Advanced and Creative Hair Professional, learning fashion-forward cuts, colours and trends.

Intermediate Hair Professional Standard.

Based at the salon for 30 hours a week, you will work closely with staff and tutors to develop hairdressing skills. Your training will cover: 

  • Hair theory
  • Shampooing and conditioning treatments
  • Cutting and styling
  • Blowdrying and setting
  • Colouring, lightening and colour correcting

You will also have the chance to learn one of three optional units to specialise in, either perming, relaxing or extensions. 

After 24 months, you will be assessed via End Point Assessment and receive your qualification.
