As an apprentice, you will be responsible and trained on:

  • Cross-checking documents
  • Setting up new client files
  • Liaising with clients
  • Updating the case management system with new client details
  • Collating and sending out welcome packs and important information to new clients
  • Document organisation
  • Database entry
  • Proofreading of documents including agreements and transcripts
  • Hard copy document management
  • Legal research (manual or electronic)
  • Creating and populating tables, schedules and agendas
  • Progressing cases under supervision
  • Inputting case details into case management system
  • Managing your own diary
  • Setting up appointments
  • Reviewing documents (medical reports, records, tenancy files etc…) and making notes
  • Chasing documents from clients, sources, and suppliers to progress the case
  • Chasing the clients, court, insurers, third party solicitors for updates
  • Maintaining your own workload under supervision
  • Taking initial information from clients to set up a file
