The successful applicant will be part of a knowledgeable and experienced team and will be doing the following tasks on a day-to-day basis:

  • General warehouse work, Picking and Packing our products for deliveries in a timely fashion
  • Be part of our warehouse customer service team, serving customers on our trade counter
  • Working in our production department making Hydraulic hoses to the highest standard
  • Using our hose making machinery
  • Working in our goods in department, Unloading and loading deliveries, booking stock into our system, and sorting it for the correct customers
  • Liaising with the sales team to ensure suppliers and customers have up-to-date information

Desired qualifications

Apprentices with GCSE grades C/4 or above in English, maths (or equivalent) are exempt from Functional Skills. If apprentices have grade D/3 GCSE or complete an initial BKSB Assessment at Level 1 they can complete Level Functional Skills as required alongside their Apprenticeship.

Qualification:

  • Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
  • Level 2 Functional Skills English and maths (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

End-point assessment (EPA) is the final stage that an Apprentice goes through to complete their Apprenticeship.

The Apprentice must show their learning to an independent end-point assessor and the grades available are distinction, pass or fail.

The EPA will consist of:

  • Written Knowledge Test
  • Assessment of portfolio of evidence
  • Observation in workplace
  • Professional discussion relating to CPD activity

On Programme Assessment includes:

Regular formative assessment, development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace and a work-based project. As part of the qualification, Apprentices must complete all units and be competent in real work environment.
