Apprentice Administrator required for a busy General Practice. The successful candidate will be involved in:-

  • Preparing notes for summarising.
  • Input onto the medical systems, including through direct input and scanning or links.
  • Dealing with internal and external post and emails.
  • Contacting patients via telephone, email and text using the appropriate systems.
  • Helping with producing reports.
  • Dealing with new registrations of patients.
  • Any other administration duties as required.
  • Helping out in other departments including Reception and vaccination clinics.

Desired skills

  • Good standard of English and maths and IT systems.
  • Have the ability and willingness to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Good communication skills and be able to deal with people in a pleasant and efficient manner.
  • Honest and reliable. Be able to keep secrets – confidentiality.

Personal qualities

  • Friendly, a team player, the ability to listen to your peers, organised and reliable, flexible, Good eye for detail and confidentiality is a must.

Desired qualifications

  • Ideally maths & English GCSE 4/C or above. 
  • There may be the possibility of studying towards equivalent qualifications as part of your apprenticeship. 
  • Working IT knowledge.
