Summary

r2p is seeking an organised and willing apprentice in "Business Administration" to support all activities related to the management of goods at r2p, namely Stock and Repairs Management, Logistics and Procurement (collectively termed “Goods Management “) as well as broader support for the company’s Administrative & Commercial functions.

What you'll do at work

r2p is seeking an organised and willing apprentice in "Business Administration" to support all activities related to the flow and storage of goods supplied by r2p, namely stock and repairs management and logistics initially and then also procurement (collectively termed “Goods Management“) as well as broader support for the company’s administrative & commercial functions. Although, predominantly an administrative role, the successful applicant will also be flexible enough to manage physical goods handling as part of their day-to-day activities.

This is a diverse and multi-faceted role with a leading and fast-growing CCTV and real-time information solution provider in the public transport sector. Ideally suited to a IT literate, logical and process driven thinker looking to progress their career in Business Administration while studying a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
  • Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
  • Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Demonstrates agility and confidence in communications, carrying authority appropriately. Understands and applies social media solutions appropriately. Answers questions from inside and outside of the organisation, representing the organisation or department.
  • Completes tasks to a high standard. Demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks and applies themself to continuously improve their work. Is able to review processes autonomously and make suggestions for improvements. Shares administrative best-practice across the organisation e.g. coaches others to perform tasks correctly. Applies problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex complaints and is a key point of contact for addressing issues.
  • Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines. Positively manages the expectations of colleagues at all levels and sets a positive example for others in the workplace. Makes suggestions for improvements to working practice, showing understanding of implications beyond the immediate environment (e.g. impact on clients, suppliers, other parts of the organisation). Other requirements

IMPORTANT: THE EMPLOYER HAS ADVISED THAT ONLY APPLICANTS WHO HAVE ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLIST. -This will be a broad ranging role that is largely administrative but will involve some physical goods handling in our on-site stores as part of the day-to-day activities. -Required to be physically able to lift/move deliveries to and from store shelves and occasionally use a stepladder; currently 20-40 boxes moved in and out of our stores per week; 90% of boxes are less than 10kg -r2p will provide broad training in all aspects of its business in support of this role. -r2p will also expose the individual to all areas of the business and support any areas of interest and aptitude to develop the individual. -The candidate will be required to start at 8am to accept any deliveries. There may be rare occasions the candidate will be alone at this time so they will need to be above the minimum age constraints governed by the company insurance policy. - It would be preferred for the successful candidate to live within a 30-minute travel time to the office if short-notice support is required. -This is a 19-month apprenticeship including end point assessment. -Applicants MUST BE resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to the start of learning and have work authorisation for the UK. -Applicants MUST BE free from full time education and have achieved at least 2 A Levels to be considered -Applicants WILL NOT BE eligible to apply if they have already achieved a qualification which is equal to or higher thank the apprenticeship standard on offer. -Applicants MUST BE resident in the area local and be within a 30-minute travel time to the office to support short-notice requirements -Applicants MUST BE committed to the learning and stay to the end of the apprenticeship Questions to be answered: -What interests you about this Business Administration Apprenticeship -Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
