Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Verify assets entering the warehouse against asset lists/collection notes, notifying any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Manage the safe unloading of vehicles, following company health and safety guidelines.
  • Picking & Packing of goods to be dispatched
  • Checking stock levels
  • Receive parcel/van deliveries.
  • Update stock system as required.
  • Ensure accurate selection of sold items for dispatch
  • Complete orders and all associated administration within specified timescales.
  • Ensure all company procedures are followed in relation to recycling equipment.

  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.

Training schedule

In-house training- No college day release required.

Working towards a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 apprenticeship, including any required Functional Skills.

Desirable qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 3-4)
  • Maths (grade 3-4)
