Summary

Award-winning marketing agency, Purpose Media, are hiring! Based at their fantastic offices in South Normanton, you will be getting involved in all things digital. Reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy, you will support with SEO, PPC, social media promotions, content writing, e-mail marketing & conversion optimisation.

Wage

£14,722.50 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy, you will have a range of duties which will include the
following:

  • To learn and develop digital skills that will be used in implementing digital solutions for clients
  • To develop direct experience in the following digital channels - SEO, PPC, social ads, e-mail marketing, re-marketing and conversion optimisation
  • To develop a comprehensive understanding of all digital solutions at PM, including video, socialcontent, creative design and how these work with digital channels
  • To be directed in your day to day activities by the Head of Digital & Strategy whilst supporting other Digital team members
  • To support the production of regular client KPI reports - Google Analytics, Google Data Studio -to provide insights on the digital performance of clients
  • To undertake research into the technical SEO of requirements for clients, including AdWords and key word research
  • To undertake minor development work in digital marketing activities including creation of e-marketing templates and the like
  • Any additional adhoc duties required by the marketing team

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Training schedule

Training will be delivered from the EMA training hub in central Derby. (2 Siddals Rd, Derby DE1 2PW) Training will take place in person and will last around 17 months.

More training information

In addition to the modules above, you will also study towards the Google Analytics vendor qualification.
Further support will be provided to you through your Digital Coach/Mentor via onsite visits and remote communication.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

5 GCSEs including maths and english (grade 4/C)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
