Summary
Oulton Broad Primary School are looking for an aspiring teaching assistant to join their team.Your role will include working in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst working towards a level 3 qualification.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Work with individual/groups of children
- Follow instructions from Teachers/Deputy Manager
- Support personal & social needs of pupils
- Prepare classroom as directed for lessons & clear afterwards
- Assist with the displays of pupil’s work
- Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour
- Provide clerical/admin support such as photocopying/filing/typing etc.
- Support pupils to understand instructions
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Ensuring any safeguarding concerns are recorded on the online portal and any serious concerns raised, sharing the commitment of the whole school in supporting the safety and welfare of the children
- The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment

- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
