Summary
Our Data Administration Apprenticeship role is designed for enthusiastic individuals eager to develop their skills in business admin and data analysis. You will work closely with staff to collect, process, and analyse data, helping to inform business strategies and drive efficiency.

What you'll do at work
Main Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Assist in collecting data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. Process data to make it suitable for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Support the analysis of data using statistical tools and techniques. Interpret data, identifying trends, patterns, and insights that can aid in decision-making.
- Reporting: Help in creating reports and dashboards that visually represent the findings, making the data accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members across departments to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

- Source and migrate data from already identified different sources.
- Collect, format and save datasets.
- Summarise and explain gathered data.
- Blend data sets from multiple sources and present in format appropriate to the task.
- Manipulate and link different data sets as required.
- Use tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Apply basic statistical methods and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Apply cross checking techniques for identifying faults and data results for data project requirements.
- Audit data results.
- Demonstrate the different ways of communicating meaning from data in line with audience requirements.
- Produce clear and consistent technical documentation using standard organisational templates.
- Store, manage and distribute in compliance with data security standards and legislation.
- Explain data and results to different audiences in a way that aids understanding.
- Review own development needs.
- Keep up to date with developments in technologies, trends and innovation using a range of sources.
- Clean data i.e. remove duplicates, typos, duplicate entries, out of date data, parse data (e.g. format telephone numbers according to a national standard) and test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity.
- Operate as part of a multi-functional team.
- Prioritise within the context of a project.

Training schedule
Expected Apprenticeship Duration: 14 months + 3 months EPA.
- Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship
- Blend of eLearning and classroom training with CompTIA and Microsoft training
- Includes elements of business administration (Project management, stakeholders, communication and presentations)
- Training Biweekly classes (length 3 hours) alternating between Data+ and Excel/Power BI (NB: Exams optional)
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- maths (grade 4)
