Summary

Veolia is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our team in Aldridge, West Midlands. This apprenticeship involves industrial equipment maintenance, including installation, repair, welding, performance reporting, and supporting maintenance planning.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Installing and fixing industrial equipment like pumps, motors, and pipes
  • Carrying out welding, oxy-acetylene cutting & burning
  • Maintaining pneumatic systems and airlines
  • Reporting on system performance and issues
  • Installing equipment according to specifications
  • Investigating equipment failures and suggesting improvements
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager in planning outages, providing a priority list for maintenance, procurement of parts and equipment necessary
