What you'll do at work
We are looking to recruit a Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) Practitioner Apprentice who will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a pro-active team whilst working toward their Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard.
This is an innovative role to support, co-ordinate and facilitate in championing and delivering the sustainability agenda for Farnborough Airport through multiple initiatives covering a variety of geographies, focus areas, and stakeholders. Our agenda amounts to ensuring the highest standards of environmental performance and striving to be a global Sustainability showcase for airports around the world.
Responsibilities will range from managing employee volunteering initiatives and fundraising for charities to carbon reduction, waste management, energy efficiency and supply chain
The individual will produce research and other written materials to help tangibly improve the airport’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) credentials both in substance and perception.
Key Responsibilities:
As the apprentice progresses through their learning journey, their involvement and the complexity of their work will evolve to include:
- Support the delivery of initiatives, campaigns and projects in change and culture management
- Assist in developing and delivering Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) strategies
- Gather, analyse and report on data to support CR&S outcomes and drive metric-based decisions
- Draft CR&S reports and present on outcomes when required
- Research and maintain an understanding of the latest Environmental, Societal and Regulatory agendas to help educate the business and drive engagement
- Support in identifying new and innovative initiatives to drive the Company’s CR&S agenda

Attend and participate in community engagement events such as Careers Fairs and School/College visits

Support in the organisation and management of company volunteering days.

- Support in identifying social and environmental risks to the business and escalate to the departmental management team
- Contribute to regular employee communications promoting initiatives and providing updates on business policies and best practise
- Develop an understanding of CS&R budgets, fundraising and measuring return on investment to support the management team in regular reports

- Train colleagues in CR&S techniques, tailoring the learning style to the circumstances.

Your training plan
During your apprenticeship you will undergo remote learning through live webinars, forums, one to ones with a dedicated learning coach. You will receive constant feedback and coaching through RHG’s team of experienced learning coaches.
You will gain the Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard qualification (additionally level 2 in English and maths if not previously attained).

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
