The work is very intricate and is carried out in a modern, pleasant working environment. The apprenticeship will lead you into assembling, bonding and soldering electronic and other components that come together to make a finished probe and other accessories such as cables and connectors.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Be quick to learn and keen to progress
- Have good manual dexterity
- Be able to produce fine solder joints (electronic work)
- Be able to glue/bond very small components together
- Work to high standards, as attention to detail is crucial
- Follow instructions both written and verbal
- Computer literate
- Work within a team or as an individual
