Summary

We are looking for a committed & enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience while learning the fundamentals of engineering. You will support the design, development, & maintenance of engineering systems & equipment, depending on your chosen pathway (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing).

Monday - Thursday, 7:00am to 3:45pm. Friday, 7:00am to 11:30am.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Your duties include:

  • Working under supervision to support engineering projects
  • Assisting with the installation, testing, and maintenance of equipment
  • Developing technical skills through both on-the-job training and formal study
  • Maintaining accurate records and following engineering procedures
  • Complying with all health, safety, and quality standards

Your training plan

  • EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
  • EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced
    Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
  • EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
    (Development Knowledge)

Apprentices will attend college for two days per week over two years. Training, assessments and observations will also be completed in the workplace.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)
