Summary

We're looking for a motivated individual to join a professional team as a Plumbing Apprentice at Konig Heating. No prior experience is required — just a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in the trade.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Duties include:

  • Assist qualified plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems
  • Measure, cut, and assemble pipes and fittings using hand and power tools
  • Help install domestic and commercial water systems, such as sinks, toilets, showers, radiators, and boilers
  • Carry out basic fault-finding and help with diagnostics
  • Prepare and clean work areas, tools, and equipment
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times on-site
  • Load, unload, and transport tools and materials as needed
  • Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and plumbing plans
  • Keep accurate records of work completed under supervision
  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship programme

  • Perform routine service, maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification procedures and techniques on low pressure Natural Gas systems (up to 35mm R1¼) and Natural Gas fired hot water and central heating appliances (up to 70kW net heat input).
  • Decommission (including disconnection and dismantling) low pressure Natural Gas systems (up to 35mm R1¼) and Natural Gas fired hot water and central heating appliances (up to 70kW net heat input).

Your training plan

  • Hull College will deliver the Apprenticeship Standard Plumbing Level 3
  • You will be trained in the workplace by a highly skilled mentor alongside your Hull College Skills Coach who will help support and guide you to become a skilled employee

GCSE in:
