Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work in IT support while gaining a recognised qualification. You'll be working in our IT department where you'll be providing support to end-users, undertaking maintenance, supporting systems, and much more. As part of the team, they'll be loads of opportunities to develop your IT & networking skills.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
- Install software and hardware and perform diagnostic fault finding
- Set up, maintain and support end user devices such as PCs, laptops, projectors, displays, sound systems, printers and other equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use, up to date with the relevant security updates
- Work to and give guidance to others on the ICT Acceptable Use Policy
- Ensure the safe disposal of obsolete equipment, used consumables and waste materials in line with recognised Asset Management and legal requirements
- Work flexibly and undertake duties of an equivalent nature that may be required by the IT Manager

- Training will be provided by Ginger Nut Training. Ginger Nut’s delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one tutor sessions every 4 weeks, group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support where required
- Apprentices are allocated a tutor to guide them through the training, conduct regular meetings and prepare for End Point Assessment. Our tutors are industry experts with relevant industry experience in addition to teaching and coaching expertise
- To support learning, we utilise online resources mapped to the apprenticeship and all learners are given access to LinkedIn Learning, and other bespoke channels designed to support their apprenticeship
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- Any other subject (grade 5 or above)
- English (grade 5 or above)
- Maths (grade 5 or above)
Desirable qualifications
A Level in:
- Computing (grade C)
BTEC in:
- Computing (grade M / D)
