What you will do in your working day

Duties to be included within this job include training in:

  • Bringing horses in from the field, washing and brushing down
  • Tacking up
  • Supporting with farrier and physio visits • Learning about and how to clip
  • Pulling tails and mains
  • Competition preparation 
  • Use of relevant PPE and riding livery

The training you will be getting

  • Full Equine standard level 3
  • All training to be delivered at the employers premises

The possibility of full time employment on the successful completion of the apprenticeship.

About the employer

Blue Sky Equestrian first opened its gates as a riding school in 1989. It offers full livery housing for your own horse. The centre has a 60 metre x 25 metre outdoor arena & a 60 metre x 30 metre Indoor arena with means all riding activities are never interrupted by the British weather.
