What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidates will be trained in all aspects of garage equipment including:
- Servicing equipment
- Equipment installation
- Equipment repair
- Calibrating
Installation and maintenance of lifts, brakes, machines, wheel alligners and break down maintenance, as well as preventative and scheduled maintenance and callibration
The candidates must be able to work well individually and alongside others. Be required to attend sites with our engineers to assist with their duties and to further advance your onsite training.
A driving licence would be an advantage but not essential
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Working towards gaining the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to obtain the Level 3 Engineering Technician Standard, on the machatronics maintenance pathway:
- Engineering technician / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
- You will be required to attend college 2 days per week for day release and the remaining of the week will be in the workplace
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- This apprenticeship will lead to a full-time position for the right candidates
