What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Liaise with customers and colleagues by telephone, emails and in-person
  • Assist with booking meetings
  • Assist with photocopying and printing
  • Assist with organising hospitality for college visitors
  • Assist with obtaining information in preparation for reports/projects
  • Preparing and formatting documents including in preparation for meetings such as course reps and working groups
  • Preparing, attending and taking notes/minutes at meetings including room bookings, setting up Teams/Zoom links and distributing agendas
  • Preparing and taking notes for student disciplinaries
  • Processing invoices
  • Supporting with the annual policy review cycle
  • Supporting with the delivery of projects
  • Assisting with the administrative arrangments for external monitoring visits including Ofsted, Matrix and Landex
  • Supporting with the organisation and delivery of college events
  • To promote and implement all college policies, particularly those which refer to health & safety, equality of opportunity and Safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
  • To participate in college programmes of staff appraisal and continuing professional development
  • To develop effective working relationships internally and with external partners
  • To operate at all times in line with the college’s values and behaviours
