What will the apprentice be doing?
Tasks and duties will include:
- To communicate with people in person, on the telephone and using email
- To take and produce minutes at meetings
- To use the school reprographics systems to copy and distribute documents
- To produce letters and documents
- To receive, sort and distribute incoming messages, post and deliveries and to collect and dispatch outgoing mail, packages
- To support the administration of school events
- To use computerised management information systems and/or paper-based filing systems to enter, record and retrieve data and make returns required by a variety of sources
- To coordinate and collate supplies, stock and ordering for school resources
- To operate the computerised personnel, payroll and financial information systems of the school for financial monitoring and data processing
- To receive, record, and process incoming payments using the relevant financial systems of the council and the school
- To support other members of the school staff in the operation of the school financial systems and procedures
- To support the office with administration, organisation and the provision and arrangement of resources
