What will the apprentice be doing?

Tasks and duties will include:

  • To communicate with people in person, on the telephone and using email
  • To take and produce minutes at meetings
  • To use the school reprographics systems to copy and distribute documents
  • To produce letters and documents
  • To receive, sort and distribute incoming messages, post and deliveries and to collect and dispatch outgoing mail, packages
  • To support the administration of school events
  • To use computerised management information systems and/or paper-based filing systems to enter, record and retrieve data and make returns required by a variety of sources
  • To coordinate and collate supplies, stock and ordering for school resources
  • To operate the computerised personnel, payroll and financial information systems of the school for financial monitoring and data processing
  • To receive, record, and process incoming payments using the relevant financial systems of the council and the school
  • To support other members of the school staff in the operation of the school financial systems and procedures
  • To support the office with administration, organisation and the provision and arrangement of resources
