This exciting opportunity will provide front of house and administration support for projects managed by Community Alliance, as well as our Community Building in Stanstead Abbotts. As part of the role, you will also support our Finance Operations Manager with basic financial administration and record keeping - all relevant training will be given.

Salary is based on £5.50 per hour rising to £6.00 per hour after 6 months. Employee will also receive free Benenden Health Membership and be auto-enrolled into workplace pension (4% employer contribution)

What will the apprentice be doing?
Purpose of job: To provide front of house and administration support for projects managed by Community Alliance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Front of House support for enquiries via telephone, email and in person
- Provide the main point of contact for hirers of Nigel Copping Community Building
- Maintenance of day-to-day hall booking systems for Community Alliance venues
- Assistance with basic financial administration and record keeping.
- Event and hirer support including room set up, helping with refreshments and tidying up
- General office duties and support for other administrative and operational staff including providing cover for community car scheme
- Promote the work of Community Alliance in Broxbourne & East Herts
- On occasions attend Community Alliance events
- Undertake other tasks as may be required from time to time
- Work in accordance with Community Alliance policies and practice
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The Apprentice will study Business Administration , Level 3 (A level) on one day a week (or equivalent) day release - this will most likely be assessed in the workplace
- The Apprentice will also recieve support from our office administartion team and be appointed a dedicated line manager
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- There will be opportunities for progression and a permanent position subject to performance
- Further qualification routes (i.e ATT Accountancy) after Apprenticeship will also be considered
