What will the apprentice be doing?
- Looking at drawings
- Setting up machines
- Using material provided
- Making parts to drawings as required
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study the Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship standard, Mechanical Manufacturing Pathway.
You will attend college weekly at the Leek Campus, college transport is available, spending time in the engineering workshop, CAD/CAM suites learning with other apprentices.
You will also receive training in the workplace both on and off the job from the experienced team. Your college instructor-mentor will visit you in the workplace on a regular basis to complete observations and professional discussions to guide you through the apprenticeship standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We anticipate you will become a permanent member of our team and will continue your development to generate programs on CAD software.
