What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Maintenance engineering activities on automated plant and equipment, robots, digital manufacturing systems, conveyor systems & injection moulding machines
  • Safely trouble shoot, identify & rectify faults on machinery & production lines
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) program interrogation.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Over the course of your apprenticeship you will work towards achieving your Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship - including BTEC National Diploma & NVQ Level 3 with the Shrewsbury Colleges Group.
  • Year 1 & 2 - 3 days at college and 2 days at Ricoh
  • Year 3 & 4 - full time on-the-job training at Ricoh
  • You will also reveive additional workplace training and the oportunity to take part in community projects and team building activities.

The successful completion of the Apprenticeship framework is not a guarantee of established employment with Ricoh (UK) Products Ltd but we do try to retain successful individuals wherever possible.
