What will the apprentice be doing?
Based at our Head Office in Oldbury but the role will require frequent travel, so a driving licence is essential. You will learn how to clean and prepare machinery and equipment ready for cataloguing and presentation. The successful candidate will gain a great deal of exposure to several parts of the auction business and will quickly be expected to take on responsibility. The role will involve: - Managing clients' items - preparing, packaging and sending of customer orders - Unloading deliveries and placing items in line with guidance - Moving Machinery and Equipment so Heavy Lifting will be required - Assisting with the preparation of online auction catalogues - Photography and image editing - Maintaining a presentable site, and setting items up for viewing days -Ensuring all items are recorded and labelled accurately and stored efficiently. Deliveries and handling incudes large and fragile objects so attention to detail is critical. - picking and packing lots for dispatch - Other viewing and sale day roles - Working in the warehouse you will be responsible for stock checks, stock rotation and general tidyness - You will also deal with goods inwards and storage - There will be times when you will be required to work within other business areas, which could involve computer work, collection chasing, liaising with buyers on the phone.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
This programme usually lasts 12 months and you will play a key role in working within a warehouse or in logistics. This course will allow you to build a foundation of skills which are needed to be successful. You will work through a variety of modules to gain the experience and skills needed, including: ? Pick goods in logistics operations ? Wrap and pack goods in logistic operations ? Process orders for customers ? Assemble orders ? Moving and/or handling goods ? Check stock levels and stock records On successful completion of the course you will achieve the following qualifications: Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage Skills Functional Skills Maths Level 1 Functional Skills English Level 1 Employment Rights and Responsibilities Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Apprenticeship Achievement Certificate
