What will the apprentice be doing?
Learn and undertake maintenance work on our equipment and facilities catering for the needs of production, health and safety and quality. This is a varied, hands on role covering multiple engineering disciplines as well as other more menial responsibilities.
This includes, but not limited to:
- Cleaning and housekeeping
- Inventory Management
- Planned Maintenance
- Design and Fabrication
- Breakdowns and Problem Solving
- Project work including Installation of Machines and Equipment
- Process Improvement
- Decommissioning
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
All apprentices will be required to achieve as a minimum to compete their course:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
- Technical Support Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
You will be onsite with Kepston and attend Sandwell College one day a week.

You could go into higher education or into Engineering management.
