What will the apprentice be doing?
Typical activities that may be carried out, but are not exclusive to this role include:
- Managing data/records
- Reviewing documents
- Drafting and producing legal documents and standard forms
- Assisting with the inception, progress and completion of client files
- Carrying out research
- Handling confidential and sensitive information
- Understanding and utilising basic financial information
- Communicating (written and oral) with internal and external clients
- Contacting new and existing clients by email, phone and face to face.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will be trained to achieve a Paralegal Level 3 Advanced apprenticeship (ST0245)
This will include the CILEX Level 3 Diploma in Providing Legal Services.
The apprentice will work 4 days per week at Fisher Day, 2-14 Bury New Road, Manchester, M8 8EL, and attend 1 day per week at Bolton College BL3 5BG
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of the apprenticeship the applicant may have the opportunity to gain full time employment within the company or possible progression to a higher level apprenticeship.
The paralegal role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as: Chartered legal executive apprenticeship or Solicitor apprenticeship
