What will the apprentice be doing?
As a VAT apprentice, you will study the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) professional qualification which can help you to achieve a rewarding career in tax and accountancy.
You will develop significant knowledge in tax legislation, case law and economics. Under an apprenticeship agreement, we will not only offer you support and mentoring throughout your training; we will also fund the training, pay you your normal salary on the days you attend classes or time in the office to study and give you paid study leave to have extra revision time.
As part of your role you will:
-provide a range of VAT services
-provide VAT advice to our clients
-support the VAT Partner.
When not studying you will be gaining valuable VAT work experience supporting the partner and other areas across the firm in providing a range of VAT services and advice to our clients.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will be expected to attend our learning providers premises once a week.
On achievement of the Level 4 ATT qualification and with two years' practical tax experience, students can apply for ATT membership. Members are entitled to use the designatory letters ‘ATT' after their name and the descriptive title 'Taxation Technician'.
