What will the apprentice be doing?
All our apprentices are supported in achieving a Digital Accessibility Specialist Level 4 qualification. From there you’ll have the option to specialise with further certifications, which relate to your role.
The programme will give you everything you need to become a fully-fledged Accessibility Specialist, including:
- design (of accessible experiences)
- development (best practices for accessibility criteria)
- auditing (using internationally recognised standards)
- support (end users using assistive technologies)
- fundamental knowledge of disabilities, accessibility and standard business practices
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The programme complements virtual learning workshops and modules given by the apprenticeship provider with on the job learning.
The modules are designed to teach you both the technical and business skills you need, and at the end of your apprenticeship you'll have a Higher National Certificate and be ready to thrive in a long-term career in Atos as an Accessibility Specialist.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
In Atos, we are keen to support all our apprentices to continue their development and to forge a long-term career in Atos, so we offer apprentices a permanent contract from day one.
If you do well on your apprenticeship and want to carry on learning, the business may support you to move onto the next level of apprenticeship – up to Level 6 – a degree level apprenticeship, where your role allows.
