What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Plan and implement stimulating and inclusive activities
  • Encourage all aspects of communication development
  • Support all aspects of children’s health, safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Maintain accurate registers and children’s development records
  • Build effective relationships with parents, children and work colleagues

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be working towards your Early Years Practitioner qualification at level 2 which will require you to attend college for 1 day every month as well as complete your assignments and training whilst working in the nursery setting. If you do not already hold your maths and English at pass grade, then you will be required to study these at college alongside your early years course.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression onto higher level apprenticeship or full-time positions are available for the right candidate.
