What will the apprentice be doing?
PC (North) Ltd, part of the Priestley Group of companies, that meet every need our clients may have. Each focuses on a different aspect of UK property, from property development, construction, estate agency, consultancy and everything in between.
The aim of this role will be to develop and have more responsibility as the apprenticeship progresses, whilst working towards a level 3 Business Administration qualification.
Duties would include:
- General office admin and use of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel
- Management of incoming and outgoing phone calls
- Inputting data on to Excel spreadsheets
- Checking dates are correct on utility bills and Council Tax bills according to tenants move ins and outs
- Setting up new connections to new developments
- Arranging maintenance for our properties with contractors
- Printing architectural drawings
- Maintaining and updating our client management system
- Support and liaise with colleagues with operational activities and workflow
- Create and maintain filing and other office systems
- Reception cover
- Providing refreshments to guests
This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the business manager which are relevant to your role within the company to meet the overall business needs.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will complete the following qualifications as part of your Apprenticeship:
Level 3 Business Administrator Standard Apprenticeship
Level 2 Functional Skills maths and English if not already achieved
You will also develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work within an office environment. This apprenticeship is delivered in the workplace and 20% of your working time will be dedicated towards training and learning new skills. You will be allocated a tutor who will provide you with personal support and assessment at pre-arranged times.
Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence and professional discussions. All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio.
