What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Brushing, Bathing, and Drying all breeds of Dogs
  • Maintaining a clean salon at all times and especially after each dog
  • Friendly towards customers and their dogs. Understand the welfare of the dogs. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Animal Care & Welfare Assistant Level ll
  • Wagtails Dog Grooming Salon, Saltash & Cornwall College
  • working in the salon from Monday -Thursday, (Occasional weekends) being released for college one day a week. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Progress to train as a Dog Groomer
  • Work with all types of pet animals in Kennels, shops etc
