What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To assist the Purchase Ledger Manager in the provision of an efficient and effective purchase ledger control service ensuring service users are provided with accurate information at all times.
  • To assist the Purchase Ledger Manager to maintain and input purchase ledger information in a precise and accurate manner.
  • The accurate receipt, counting, recording and banking of cash and cheques received.
  • To produce accurate weekly Operations results for the management team
  • To assist the Management Accountant for the provision of an efficient and effective finance service.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be working towards your AAT Accounts and Finance Assistant level 2 qualification which will be delivered through classroom attendance at Bolton College one day a week. You will also be required to work towards your functional skills in maths and English unless you already hold these qualifications at GCSE level 4/C or equivalent. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression onto higher level AAT apprenticeships will be available for the right candidate.
