What will the apprentice be doing?
The Radiology wider team is made up of Consultant radiologists, Radiographers, sonographers and assistants. Being part of the radiology administrative team you will be working along side these groups of clinicians to ensure we deliver a high standard of patient centred care.
Our Trust values; 'Caring', 'Ambitious', 'Partnering' and 'Trusted', would need to be demonstrated through the individuals approach to working in this environment, with a clean, neat and tidy appearance, together with the appropriate attitudes and behaviour to work in a health care setting.
You must be flexible to meet the demands of our service, have a can do attitude and be a good team worker, it will be essential that apprenticeship candidates are able to demonstrate a capacity to show empathy, have a sensitive approach to difficult situations and understand the need for safe working practice in a hospital environment.
During your apprenticeship you will be trained to meet the requirements of the Clerical Officer job role, you need to be motivated to learn the skills needed. In addition other personal development activities will be available to you throughout the course of your apprenticeship.
We are looking for individuals with ambition who are able to work to and achieve goals and/or objectives set by their line manager/mentor.
The successful candidate will have achieved a good standard of GCSE education Grade A-D (or equivalent) which includes Mathematics and English. You should not already hold a degree or other Level 4 qualification in the same vocational subject area.
You will be enrolled with Telford College and will be required to complete a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship, during your 14 month apprenticeship with The Princess Royal Hospital; a tutor from Telford College will support your learning within the workplace.
