What will the apprentice be doing?
- To create a high quality, safe, happy, caring & nurturing environment where children have the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging activities to enable them to develop and learn effectively.
- To help plan, provide & take part in play based activities that stimulate and support childrens learning & development.
- To assist children with personal care requirements such as changing nappies, assisting with toileting, changing clothes, assisting with shoes and coats, mealtimes etc.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with the children, families who use the service, other staff, and other people or agencies that the service is in regular contact with such as schools, pre schools, health professionals etc.
- To accompany the children and registered childminder on regular trips
- To abide by all policies and procedures in place
- To help ensure the setting is a safe environment
- Be aware of child protection policy & procedures
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Early Years Educator Appenticeship Level 3
- Training will take place at Nescot College, Ewell, Epsom, Surrey
- Training will take place every other Friday
