Brief Description
As our Apprentice Chef you'll be working alongside our busy team helping to prepare, cook and present our fresh food dishes on The Red Carpet Menu. Working with our Head Chef and Sous Chef with their passionate, excellent (good fun) team, you can learn so much.
Qualifications Required
GCSE or equivalent in English Grade 5/C is desirable.
Personal Qualities
Diligent, kind and hard working.
Skills Required
We are looking for young people who are creative and show initiative.
Training to be Provided
Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

• Learning to prepare, cook and present fresh food dishes to a consistently high standard, with a desire to progress in your career
• Ensuring you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• You will be working a 40 hour per week which includes at least 6 hours per week at Burton College, paid for by us.
Other Information
If you’re working an 8 hour shift, you will have a one hour lunchbreak in a small staff room and a free lunch is provided.
We also pay tips at an average of 50p per hour and two free cinema tickets per month.
