Summary

Join DC Flooring (UK) Limited — a specialist commercial and industrial flooring contractor based in Basildon — as a Warehouse Apprentice. You will gain hands-on experience supporting our warehouse manager in a busy construction environment, working towards a nationally recognised  Level 2 qualification.

Wage

£20,800 a year

Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)

Starting rate of £10 per hour. Salary reviewed on completion of the apprenticeship with a view to a permanent contract and further progression.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assist with the receipt, checking and put-away of stock and materials deliveries
  • Pick, pack and prepare flooring materials and equipment for dispatch to site teams
  • Support stock control and cycle counting to help maintain accurate inventory records
  • Help load and unload delivery vehicles safely, following manual handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment in line with health and safety guidelines
  • Liaise with site teams and suppliers to help coordinate the timely delivery of materials
  • Support the warehouse manager with basic administrative tasks such as goods-in documentation and stock reports

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

Maths and English (grade 2)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

The role is based at our Basildon office. Candidates will need to be able to commute to Paycocke Road, Basildon, SS14 3DR. There is free on-site parking available. Occasional UK-wide project support may be required administratively but no travel is expected from this role.
