What you'll do at work

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Business Development, Sales & Conversion

  • Research and target prospective employers, priority sectors and new business opportunities
  • Build and manage an employer sales pipeline using CRM and prospecting tools
  • Generate and qualify leads through telephone calls, email, LinkedIn, campaigns, referrals and networking
  • Engage employers to understand their recruitment and workforce development needs
  • Present and promote TDM Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and workforce development solutions
  • Progress employer opportunities from initial contact through to commitment, recruitment and enrolment
  • Convert employer opportunities into apprenticeship vacancies and learner starts
  • Work towards agreed sales, conversion, employer growth and apprenticeship start targets
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts and follow-up activity

2. Employer Engagement & Networking

  • Represent TDM at networking events, conferences, careers fairs and employer forums
  • Attend Chambers of Commerce, BNI, business networking and industry events to generate leads
  • Develop relationships with employers, referral partners and regional stakeholders
  • Follow up contacts promptly and convert networking leads into employer meetings and opportunities
  • Gather employer feedback, support account relationships and identify repeat-business opportunities

3. Skills Bootcamp Talent Promotion

  • Work with Skills Bootcamp teams to understand candidates’ skills, aspirations and employment goals
  • Create candidate profiles and promote suitable candidates to prospective employers
  • Support with the matching of candidates to employer vacancies and workforce requirements
  • Secure employer interviews and support the conversion of candidate introductions into employment outcomes and apprenticeship starts

4. Sales-Focused Marketing Campaigns

  • Plan and deliver targeted campaigns that generate employer leads and sales opportunities
  • Create content for LinkedIn, email, websites and other relevant channels
  • Produce case studies, candidate profiles, employer communications and campaign materials to support the promotion of skills bootcamp learners to convert into TDM apprenticeship starts
  • Support webinars, employer events and promotional activities
  • Monitor campaign engagement, lead generation and conversion performance
  • Use campaign findings to improve future sales and employer engagement activity

5. Data, Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate CRM, employer pipeline and campaign records
  • Report on leads, employer meetings, opportunities, conversions and apprenticeship starts
  • Monitor individual KPIs and identify actions required to improve performance
  • Analyse marketing and sales data to inform prospecting and campaign decisions
  • Comply with GDPR, data protection, marketing regulations and TDM procedures

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Training schedule

Multi Channel Marketer - Training to be Provided.


Programme Length: 15 Months Practical Period + 3 Month Apprenticeship Assessment.

The successful candidate will undertake a 20 Month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions.

You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification.

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 3 qualification.

More training information

Individuals aged 19+ and residing within the West Midlands Combined Authority area may be eligible to complete a fully funded 8-week Skills Bootcamp before interviewing for this role. The Skills Bootcamp is designed to help develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in business development, marketing and employer engagement roles. Candidates who successfully complete the Skills Bootcamp and meet the required standards will be guaranteed an interview for this apprenticeship vacancy.
