What you'll do at work
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers and senior technicians with the production of engineering drawings, 3D models and digital information
- Develop practical skills in Revit MEP, AutoCAD and other digital engineering software
- Create and amend 2D drawings, engineering layouts and BIM models
- Assist with the coordination of mechanical and electrical building services within a BIM environment
- Learn to create and modify Revit families, objects, tags, annotations, schedules and legends
- Support the preparation and revision of drawing packages and project documentation
- Apply company BIM standards, protocols and procedures
- Work with Building Services Engineers to translate engineering requirements into accurate digital information
- Assist with clash detection and coordination between services and disciplines
- Maintain organised project files and digital information in accordance with company procedures
- Develop an understanding of relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance
- Liaise professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project team members
- Attend site visits where appropriate to develop practical knowledge of building services and construction
- Complete apprenticeship coursework, training and assessments within required timescales
- Participate fully in mentoring, training and professional development
- Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and level of training

- set up and use a range of measuring, testing, diagnostic tools, rigs and equipment, using approved methods and procedures install lighting, power supplies, engine control and instrumentation systems
- carry out testing and diagnostic activities on installed components, equipment and systems and making adjustment/rectification where applicable
- carry out precision drilling and finishing of holes in aerospace assemblies apply correct locking and securing methods and techniques (mechanical fasteners, locking and electrical bonding techniques)

Training schedule
The training will be 1-2 days a month at the training providers premises in Yaxley.
