Summary

This is an opportunity to join the business in a hands-on Sales & Marketing role, while completing a Level 4 AI Specialist programme. You’ll build on your existing marketing skills while learning how to use AI, automation, data and digital tools to improve campaigns, customer experiences and business processes.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

The role combines marketing, sales outreach, data and customer engagement. You’ll work alongside the existing marketing and social media team to create engaging content, support campaigns, conduct outreach, analyse data, identify opportunities and help drive business growth.

You’ll be encouraged to use AI and existing business data to improve targeting, support sales activity and make marketing more effective.

What you’ll do

Content & Social Media

  • Support social media activity across Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram
  • Create engaging content, including filming and editing activity clips
  • Use AI to generate ideas, create copy, plan campaigns and repurpose content
  • Monitor trends and identify content and promotional opportunities
  • Record and edit video using Premiere Pro and other digital tools
  • Assist with presentations, proposals and marketing materials while following brand guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the wider marketing team

Website & Data

  • Help manage and update e-commerce websites
  • Collect and maintain customer, marketing and sales data
  • Use Google Analytics and other tools to analyse website and campaign performance
  • Use AI and data to identify customer trends, popular activities and opportunities to increase bookings
  • Research and build new customer and prospect lists
  • Carry out competitor and market research
  • Identify ways to improve the customer journey using digital tools and AI

Email & Outbound Sales

  • Support email and newsletter campaigns
  • Conduct outbound email marketing and prospecting
  • Research new leads, audiences and commercial opportunities
  • Use AI to personalise communications and create targeted campaigns
  • Support customer follow-ups and sales outreach
  • Build and maintain prospect and customer databases
  • Track responses, engagement and results
  • Follow up with potential customers and help generate new business
  • Work towards agreed activity, lead generation and commercial targets

Paid Advertising

  • Assist with PPC and paid social campaigns
  • Use AI for audience research, creative development and campaign ideas
  • Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve ROI

Sales & Commercial Growth

  • Support the sales and marketing team to generate new business and increase bookings
  • Identify potential customers and new markets using data and research
  • Support lead generation across email, digital marketing and outreach
  • Track leads, enquiries, conversions and campaign performance
  • Use data and AI to identify what is working and where growth opportunities exist
  • Work towards agreed KPIs and commercial targets

  • Follow ethical, responsible and safe working practices respecting confidentiality and sensitive organisational matters.
  • Undertake analysis to identify if automation is viable. Including assessing risks such as data quality, process maturity and unintended consequences of AI automation projects, such as the impact on job roles.
  • Engage with non-technical staff to understand their roles, responsibilities, and concerns when automation solutions are proposed and implemented. Adapt approach to support workforce needs when implementing solutions that impacts the workforce.

You’ll work alongside our existing Marketing & Social Media Manager, gaining hands-on experience across digital marketing, sales outreach, lead generation, data analysis and AI implementation.
