What you'll do at work
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our specialist Valve Workshop.
Working alongside our experienced Valve Technicians, you will gain valuable hands-on experience maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of industrial control, safety and process valves.
As your knowledge and confidence develop, you may also have the opportunity to accompany experienced technicians on customer site visits throughout the UK once aged 18+.
Full-time paid apprenticeship employment.
Practical, hands-on experience in a specialist engineering workshop.
Mentoring and support from experienced Valve Technicians.
Full health and safety training.
Company transport for site work where required.
- Dismantling industrial valves
- Inspecting valve components for wear and damage
- Assisting with machining and refurbishment of valve components
- Rebuilding control, safety and standard process valves
- Assisting out hydraulic, air and nitrogen pressure testing.
- Completing workshop paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and working safely in accordance with company procedures

Other requirements
A full UK driving licence is not essential for the apprenticeship but would be required for a permanent future role with the company so it is important that the applicant either already has a licence or is planning to obtain one in the near future.
