Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Apprentices will typically be in the office 5 days per week as part of their induction. Afterwards, this will be at least 2-3 days in the office (some weeks may require more)

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

The Product & Quality Specialist Apprentice will support Product Specialists and Buying teams in the development, evaluation and approval of fashion and textile products. Working across multiple product categories, you'll

  • Contribute to activities throughout the product lifecycle, gaining practical experience in product development, quality assurance, testing, compliance and supplier collaboration.
  • Assist with product reviews, maintaining technical documentation, supporting critical path activities, coordinating samples and learning how products are assessed against quality, fit, performance and safety requirements.
  • Take ownership of individual tasks and projects while being supported by experienced colleagues and apprenticeship learning providers. 

Alongside practical experience, the apprentice will work towards achieving the Level 4 Fashion & Textiles Product Technologist qualification, developing specialist technical knowledge and industry-recognised skills.

Alongside practical experience, the apprentice will work towards achieving the Level 4 Fashion & Textiles Product Technologist qualification, developing specialist technical knowledge and industry-recognised skills. You will regularly attend college with the Fashion Retail Academy.
