Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Greeting Customers and providing excellent customer service.
- Assisting with bathroom design using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Learn about bathroom products, brands and design trends.
- Preparing quotations and customer orders.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries.
- Maintaining showroom displays to a high standard.
- Booking appointments and supporting the design team.
- Processing customer orders and supplier information.
- Visting customers homes to carry out site surveys.
- Developing product knowledge to confidently advise customers.
- Working towards becoming an independent Bathroom Designer.

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
- Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
- Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate patience and calmness.
- Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
- Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
- Maintain informative communication during service recovery.
Training schedule
- The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Customer Service L2.
- A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course.
- This is a predominantly work-based programme with College attendance required once a month. All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/College and within their contracted working hours.

- Full UK Driving Licence
- We often receive deliveries of bathroom goods to our showroom warehouse which you will be expected to help with.
- As a customer facing role in a premium showroom, we pride ourself on exceptional presentation. All team members are expected to maintain a smart, professional appearance and wear appropriate business attire at all times.
