Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, platforms and applications to help maintain reliable and available services
  • Respond to operational alerts, carry out first-line investigation and escalate incidents when needed
  • Record, prioritise and update incidents using established service management processes
  • Support routine infrastructure operations, maintenance activities, changes and service requests
  • Help investigate recurring technical issues and contribute to resolving problems
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records and asset information
  • Work with engineers, users and third-party suppliers to support infrastructure services
  • Follow security, compliance, data protection and operational procedures
  • Develop your technical skills through practical experience, training and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute ideas to improve infrastructure services and operational processes

  • Apply continuous professional development CPD to support their own learning, business needs and technical developments.

Training schedule

  • IT Solutions Technician Level 3
  • Blended training with SoftServe LTD and Learning Provider
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm 40 hours a week
  • At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training with Learning Provider

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English language & Literature (grade Grade 5 and above)
  • Math (grade Grade 5 and above)

A Level in:

  • English Language & Literature (grade Grade B and above)
  • Math (grade Grade B and above)

Desirable qualifications

BTEC in:

A Level, BTEC or equivalent qualification in IT (grade Merit or above)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

  • Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for an apprenticeship in England. This includes having the right to work in England and the appropriate permission to undertake apprenticeship training in the UK
  • Applicants must meet the applicable residency and funding eligibility requirements and must be able to complete the apprenticeship for its full duration
  • Applicants must not be undertaking another apprenticeship or other government-funded education or training programme that would make them ineligible for apprenticeship funding
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of their identity, right to work, complete Background Checks and eligibility for apprenticeship funding before starting the programme
