Summary

A fantastic opportunity to start a career in warehousing and logistics with Harlequin Office Furniture. There are two apprenticeship vacancies available: one Day Shift role and one Night Shift role. You will learn all aspects of warehouse operations whilst working towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship.

Work

What you'll do at work

As a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprentice, you will support the warehouse team with a range of day-to-day activities, including:

  • Picking and preparing furniture orders for dispatch
  • Loading furniture safely and efficiently for delivery
  • Assisting with furniture assembly where required
  • Organising and moving stock throughout the warehouse
  • Receiving and unloading furniture consignments safely
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Retrieving items and materials for the wider warehouse team
  • Loading vehicles and checking goods are secure for transport
  • Completing paperwork linked to stock movements and customer orders
  • Reporting any discrepancies or issues to supervisors
  • Supporting stock transfers between locations
  • Providing a professional and friendly service when interacting with colleagues and customers
  • Following all company health and safety procedures at all times

  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
  • Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
  • Carry out and record learning and development activities.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:
