We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester Apprentice (Level 4) to join our remote team. You’ll help ensure the quality and reliability of our software products while completing a recognised Software Testing qualification. Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Design, write, and execute test cases and test scripts across functional and non-functional requirements
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring clear and reproducible documentation
- Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) via Microsoft Teams
- Use Microsoft Office 365 to document test plans, reports, and communicate findings with stakeholders
- Support regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing frameworks
- Maintain organised and up-to-date test documentation in line with project governance standards

What you'll learn

- apply algorithms, logic and data structures
- interpret and implement a given design whist remaining compliant with security and maintainability requirements

Training schedule
Software Developer Level 4.
Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent)
- GCSE any 3 subjects (excluding English and Maths) (grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent)
