Summary

As our Warehouse Apprentice, you will be responsible for the issuing of stores items to the Production and Service departments in a swift and timely manner.  Working closely with the Warehouse Operative, transport and Logistics.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Picking production packs & site install packs using BOM’s
  • Checking goods in according to the delivery note, purchase order and drawings if applicable
  • Stock level monitoring & ensuring that minimum stock levels are accurate and reviewed as necessary
  • Labeling and organising stock
  • Preparing and dispatching stock transfers

  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Training schedule

Training for this Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship will be delivered by our specialist training provider Smart Training & Recruitment Ltd.

More training information

Due to the role being factory based there will be lifting, carrying and manual handling together with being on your feet most of the day therefore applicants will need to be physically fit.

Desirable qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade C/4)
  • maths (grade C/4)
