Summary
We are seeking an apprentice teaching assistant to help support a positive, inclusive learning environment. Working with teachers, they will support children’s academic and personal development, provide pastoral care, and assist with classroom tasks to help every pupil thrive.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Your duties will include:
- Supporting learning — Helping pupils with their learning under the guidance of the Headteacher, class teacher, and SENCo, including supporting lessons linked to the national curriculum.
- Promoting well-being — Encouraging pupils’ emotional, social, and moral development by offering support, reassurance, and positive role‑modelling.
- Providing targeted support — Working with pupils one‑to‑one or in small groups to help them take part fully in learning activities and make good progress.
- Supporting behaviour needs — Assisting pupils who may be experiencing emotional or behavioural challenges, helping them build confidence and appropriate social skills.
- Carrying out admin tasks — Helping with everyday classroom tasks such as photocopying, laminating, organising resources, and keeping materials tidy.
- Preparing learning materials — Setting up, maintaining, and organising classroom resources, so pupils have what they need for lessons and activities.

- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- Engish (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
