To provide an extensive range of administration /reception duties at New Otley Road Medical Practice & The Family Practice
Location of Job:
New Otley Road medical centre has a branch, and the new recruit will be required to work at either or both locations.

- Family practice. 2 Saplin Street, BD8 9DW.

Person Specification
“Forward thinking” team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent I.T. user would be most suited to this position. Essentially, must have excellent customer service skills, be calm under pressure, and ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
The NHS environment is demanding and constantly changing, and individuals who can embrace and manage multiple changes would be suited to this position. Discretion and Confidentiality are essential qualities for this post.
Knowledge of READ codes or the System One computer system is desired but not essential.

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.

Training schedule
An apprenticeship includes regular training with Bradford College, and at least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying

About this employer
The practice is registered with CQC to deliver the Regulated Activities: diagnostic and screening procedures, maternity and midwifery services, and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury, and surgical procedures. We have a patient population list size of 11,400 patients. The surgery is situated within a large health centre and has suitable parking with dedicated disabled parking bays. In addition to level access, there is lift access for patients entering the building on a different floor. The practice is situated within the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). The practice is part of a wider network of 9 GP practices, known as a Primary Care Network(PCN).
Appointments are available between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Monday and Friday, and between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm. We have around 30 staff that work for the practice.
