We're seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to join our Estates Development Team as a Project Management Apprentice.

Salary will increase to NHS AfC Band 5 pay scale on successful completion of apprenticeship (currently £31,049 per year).

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist with weekly project meetings, updating action logs, progress reviews and risk updates
- Review and develop technical drawings using CAD, Revit and other digital construction tools
- Support with the development of business cases
- Engage with stakeholders including suppliers

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Health and Safety: Apply health and safety issues to all activities.
- Sustainability: Demonstrate application of the principles of sustainability.
- Construction Technology: Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects
- Contracts: Be able to apply different types of contracts to different situations.
- Procurement: Assist in the selection of and negotiation with specialist contractors for a construction project.
- Cost control: Assist in the measurement and costing of construction works during a project.
- Financial reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, cash flow and cost forecasts for a construction project.
- Administration: Assist in the collection, collation and storage of relevant data and its analysis.
Training schedule
- Training will be delivered by online university-led learning sessions and activities
- Term-time day release sessions at the Anglia Ruskin University Chelmsford campus
- Practical learning experiences in your work setting at West Suffolk Hospita, Bury St Edmunds

- On completion of the apprenticship the candidate will have the opportunity to complete the level 6 construction site manager apprenticeship
- Once completed they would be able to move into a senior project management role, risk management or department management roles
